Calcium Nitrate Leakage Emergency Treatment

Isolate the leaked contaminated area and restrict access. It is recommended that emergency responders wear dust masks (full face masks) and protective clothing. Do not come into direct contact with spilled material. Do not allow leakage to come into contact with reducing agents, organic substances, flammable substances or metal powders.
Small leakage: flush with plenty of water, dilute the wash water and put it into the wastewater system.
Large spills: Cover with plastic sheeting or canvas. Then collect it for recycling or transport it to a waste disposal site for disposal.
