Description

Sodium Nitrate Technical Grade is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaNO₃. It is a colorless, transparent or white with a slight yellow rhombus crystal with a slightly bitter taste. It is easily soluble in water, liquid ammonia, slightly soluble in glycerol and ethanol, and is easily deliquescent. Sodium nitrate is stable at room temperature, but can decompose to produce sodium nitrite and oxygen at high temperatures. As a strong oxidant, sodium nitrate may cause combustion or explosion when in contact with organic matter, reducing agents, active metal powders, strong acids, etc., so it needs to be properly stored and handled.
