Water Soluble Potassium Nitrate is colorless transparent rhombic crystal or white powder, which could be easily soluble in water, and also soluble in liquid ammonia and glycerin, but it is insoluble in anhydrous ethanol and ether. As a strong oxidizing agent, it can cause combustion or explosion when it comes into contact with reducing agent carbonate and metal powders such as sulfur and titanium, it can cause combustion or explosion.
Application
Water Soluble Potassium Nitrate is mainly applied as the raw material for manufacturing black powder, fireworks, automobile lamp glass, optical glass and picture tube glass shell, and making colored glaze in the ceramic industry, etc. It is also used as glass clarifying agent and it is applied in the production of penicillin potassium salt, in the medicine field. It is also used as a mineral processing agent. In the food industry, high purity potassium nitrate is also used as hair color agent and preservative for meat products.
