Product Introduction

Description

Ammonium Sulfate SDS has the chemical formula (NH4)2SO4 and is an important inorganic salt compound. Ammonium sulfate is a white or slightly yellow crystal with a slight ammonia smell. Its density is about 1.77g/mL (at 25°C), and its melting point exceeds 280°C and begins to decompose. It is highly soluble in water to form a colorless and transparent solution, but insoluble in ethanol and acetone. The aqueous solution of ammonium sulfate is acidic, and the pH value is usually between 5.0 and 6.0 (25°C, 1M solution). Under natural conditions, ammonium sulfate is stable in nature, but it may cause fire or explosion when in contact with strong oxidants. It is also incompatible with strong alkalis and will undergo a double hydrolysis reaction. Ammonium sulfate should be stored in a cool, ventilated place, and the container should be kept sealed to avoid contact with prohibited substances such as hypochlorite.

Features
High nitrogen content, efficient fertilization
Ammonium Sulfate SDS is a classic solid nitrogen fertilizer variety, known for its high nitrogen content, usually containing 20%~21% nitrogen, which ensures its high efficiency in the fertilization process. High nitrogen content means that the amount of fertilizer applied per unit area can be reduced while still meeting the nitrogen needs of crops, thereby reducing fertilization costs and improving agricultural production efficiency.

Excellent physical properties, easy to store and apply
Ammonium sulfate SDS appears as white crystals, which may be slightly yellow when containing a small amount of impurities, a feature that makes it visually easy to identify. More importantly, it has good physical properties, such as non-hygroscopicity and non-caking, thanks to its sophisticated manufacturing process and strict quality control. Under normal storage conditions, ammonium sulfate SDS can remain loose, which is convenient for mechanical fertilization and manual spreading, reducing blockage and waste problems during fertilization.

Strong water solubility, easy to absorb and utilize
Ammonium sulfate SDS is highly soluble in water to form an acidic fertilizer aqueous solution. This feature speeds up its dissolution in the soil, which is conducive to the rapid absorption and utilization of crop roots. High water solubility also means that ammonium sulfate SDS can be mixed with other water-soluble fertilizers, which improves the flexibility and efficiency of fertilization. At the same time, the acidic reaction helps neutralize alkaline substances in the soil, improve the soil environment, and promote crop growth.

Precautions are clear to avoid nitrogen loss
Ammonium sulfate SDS will volatilize ammonia under alkaline conditions, resulting in nitrogen loss. Therefore, it should be avoided from mixing with alkaline substances during storage and application. At the same time, according to the different characteristics of acidic soil and calcareous soil, users should adopt corresponding fertilization strategies. For example, when applying ammonium sulfate in acidic soil, lime should be applied at the same time to neutralize the acidity, but it should be noted that lime and ammonium sulfate should be applied separately; when applying ammonium sulfate in calcareous soil, it should be applied deeply to reduce ammonia volatilization loss.
