Calcium nitrate crystals is a white columnar crystal, which belongs to monoclinic crystal system. The relative density is 1.82, the melting point is 39.7℃, it is decomposed at about 40℃, and it is completely dehydrated into anhydrous calcium nitrate water when heated to 151℃. When heated to about 500℃, calcium nitrate crystals decomposes into calcium nitrite and releasing oxygen, and it is decomposed into calcium oxide and nitrogen oxide gas when continued heating. Soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, acetone, methyl acetate and liquid ammonia. Calcium nitrate crystals is an oxidizing agent, has hygroscopic properties, and is easily delixed in air.

Application
Industry: Used in refrigerants and cement antifreeze, iron and steel industrial phosphating agent. It can also be used as manufacture of fireworks and other nitrates.
